Motorola today officially launched the upgraded version of the configuration and design of Xoom called Xoom 2 and a version with a smaller screen called Xoom 2 Media Edition. Not only a minor upgrade that Xoom 2 completely different design than Xoom,Motorola used common design language on the recently released smartphones as DROID RAZR… The machine will be sold first in the UK and Ireland during the time of sale to the U.S. company has not been disclosed.
Xoom 2 is built with screens 10 “1 as Xoom released last year but the Gorilla Glass screen is coated with a special protective layer to avoid a collision. Moreover, Motorola said in the quality of screen HD display of Xoom 2 also brighter and wider viewing angle (178 degrees) the previous version. Built on dual core processor clock speed 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, 5MP camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera and running Android 3.2 Honeycomb. Motorola does not explain why it does not already have Android 4.0 to Xoom 2 but sooner or later, Xoom 2 will also be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich. Along with the Xoom 2 Motorola also introduced a smaller version called Xoom 2 Media Edition. Both integrated software MotoCast help to transfer data from computer to device easily. Xoom 2 Media Edition is lighter than Xoom 2 (compared with 599gram 386gram) but compared to the Xoom 2 thickness thinner than 8.8 mm while the figure in Media Edition is 8.99 mm.
Motorola said it will begin selling 2 and Xoom Xoom Media Edition 2 in the UK and Ireland from mid-November this.
